Meet The Coaches

Erin Alves

Erin Alves brings over 7 years of coaching experience with her. She began coaching at her alma mater Mission San Jose High in 2001, coaching the boys squad to a winning record. Alves moved to the Central Coast in 2002 and served as the Mission Prep JV coach for 3 years. She then assistant coached at Hancock College in Santa Maria, Ca. She most recently joined the NHS volleyball program for her 1st year as varsity coach.

Erin played two years at Ohlone College in Fremont, CA, earning All-coast Conference honors after playing varsity volleyball at Mission all four years. She was 1st team All-Mission Valley Athletic League from her sophomore year through her senior season. Alves was named the team MVP during her junior and senior years, as well as team captain in her senior season. Competing in club volleyball for seven years, Alves earned two junior Olympic bids while playing for the Vision Volleyball Club.

Erin earned a bachelor degree in liberal arts from the University of La Verne. She currently works for Nipomo Highschool as the Varisty Head Coach. She lives with her husband Joe and two dogs in Oceano.
